Perched atop the ridgeline over the Waimea Inlet, this entertainer’s residence enjoys all day sun and panoramic views.
The brief was for a house with maximum views, that also maintained a sense of privacy. The use of natural timbers in the cladding and interior was important for the client.
Key features of this house include a lap pool and expansive louvred outdoor area with kitchen and fireplace. Extensive double-glazed joinery allows indoor-outdoor flow of movement and light to create an open ambiance, with high ceilings in the living area supporting the feeling of openness. Cedar cladding adorns the exterior of this house, providing a natural look.
