Designed by Jonas Trampedach in 2011 for FRAMA, the Rivet Series is crafted using a hand-hammered alternative to welding aluminium.

When the Frama Rivet shelves arrived at Slow Store, interior stylist Michelle Halford saw an opportunity to integrate them into her home.
The generous scale of a wall that had once displayed art became the perfect backdrop for the untreated aluminium shelves, which blend legible forms, utility, and sculpture in pieces that will patina over time, taking on the stories of their environs.
Positioning both shelf sizes (large and small) in an offset arrangement, Michelle created a composition that feels organic yet precise. Natural light from high windows casts shifting shadows throughout the day, at once articulating their industrial quality and soft sheen, which gently reflects the room’s warm wood tones and silver accents — everyday objects or objets d’art?
