Right now design experts from all over New Zealand are at Milan Design Week examining the latest developments in furniture and interiors. HOME magazine’s Style Safari – which will be held in Auckland on Friday May 20 – gathers together five of these experts for a day of design briefings in which they tell us about the best things they’ve seen there – as well as the latest trends in furniture, flooring and everything else to do with the home.

The Style Safari is a ticketed event (numbers are limited to 50) guided by HOME editor Jeremy Hansen. It’s an all-day affair which involves visits to five of Auckland’s best design stores, where Style Safari guests are given presentations on the latest and greatest furniture and interior design trends from Milan and around the world. Oh, and transport and a delicious lunch are part of the $85 ticket price. (You can purchase tickets at this link.)

The owners of each store on the Style Safari itinerary give 20-minute presentations of the latest furniture and interior trends, making this the perfect day for anyone planning a new-build or a renovation, as it’s an ideal way to get a lowdown of what’s happening in the market as you plan your furniture purchases and interior decisions. There’s also plenty of time to browse in each destination and get personal advice on what you’re contemplating.
