Nature’s beauty

Flooring is the one element that can provide continuity and tie together an interior space.  Wool flooring does so with textural warmth and, in the case of Bremworth, plenty of design flair.

Āhuru Collection - Moss

During early design stages, when the main spatial needs have been defined and interior materials are being selected, homeowners have a vital opportunity to create continuity across all areas of the house. Although walls and cabinetry materials are of utmost importance, the fact that we are in regular, tactile contact with our floors means they are a crucial architectural surface that can become a key component of a well-executed design.

Bremworth wool floorings are made with 100 per cent New Zealand wool — a material that is entirely natural, biodegradable, and renewable — and offer something for everyone, with a large range of wool rugs available in custom shapes and sizes to suit even the most exacting and bespoke interior space.

The inherent qualities of New Zealand wool add to the collection’s appeal, with carpets that are naturally durable and long-lasting, stain-resistant, hypoallergenic, fire-resistant, warm and inviting, and sound-absorbing. In addition, wool carpet is surprisingly easy to clean due to its natural stain-resistant capabilities — just as happens in nature: whatever the weather throws at wool, it always bounces back.

Bremworth’s latest and upcoming collections have an emphasis on highly innovative, design-led colours. These include:

Āhuru (meaning ‘warm and cosy’ in Te Reo) is a soft plush pile with a velvety appearance that evokes luxury and embodies the very essence of comfort. The seven colourways of Āhuru were conceived by a power troupe of New Zealand creatives (the likes of Emma Hayes Textiles, Material Creative, Spatial Studio, and Gezellig Interiors), and are inspired by exquisite aspects of our landscapes, from rolling hills and majestic mountains to the vibrant native wildlife and enticing flora. Every hue in Āhuru tells a story of the land it hails from.

Te Aroha. Launched on 5 September, this latest, cut-pile collection is inspired by the idyllic Waikato town of Te Aroha. This is a chunky cut pile made from premium felted yarn, giving it a sumptuous textured appearance. The palette is perfectly balanced with bold and neutral tones, making it great as both a statement rug and wall-to-wall carpeting. The eight mineral tones range from bold, dramatic shades to calming, neutral hues, providing homeowners with diverse options to suit various design preferences. From deep earthy browns to soft misty greys, each tone embodies the serenity and strength of New Zealand’s natural beauty.

Te Aroha - Orchid

Aoraki. Mount Cook’s jagged peaks and harmonious alpine colour palette is at the core of this loop pile collection. Versatile neutrals composed of multiple colour strands are intertwined to create depth in an otherwise neutral palette. It is this depth that creates versatility and a feeling of craftsmanship and luxuriousness. Add to this a pile with a subtle rib-like design feature, and you have, much like Aoraki … wow factor.

These and Bremworth’s upcoming Glenburn Collection are all available to view, feel, and experience in person at Residium, a beautifully refurbished home experience centre in Parnell, Tāmaki Makaurau.
