Remote luxury

Carved over millions of years by the once fierce glacial waters of the Ahuriri River, the valley of the same name is now a tranquil but rugged piece of remote paradise. Resting almost imperceptibly within it is The Lindis, a luxury lodge that offers something truly special when it comes to fine wine, food, and unforgettable experiences.

Accommodation options here are vast. With floor-to-ceiling windows blurring the boundaries between inside and out, the main lodge is home to two master suites and three lodge suites. Three glass pods offer a different experience in this rugged landscape — out of sight of the main lodge, they offer complete privacy and immersion in the natural surrounds.

The cuisine here is guided by nature, with almost all ingredients sourced locally or harvested from an on-site garden. Paired nightly with local and international wines, dining here is a series of sensory moments.

The Black Diamond at The Lindis, a purpose-built remote fine dining destination.

Part of the on-site experiences include the new Black Diamond (pictured, above), a purpose-built remote fine dining destination. Beginning with a guided horse trek (or hike) into the remote reaches of the Ahuriri Valley, guests are greeted on arrival with champagne followed by a selection of canapés before a chef-prepared three-course lunch — this is fine dining not to be missed.
