Forest House was the first design from Chris Tate Architecture. Completed in 2006, it paved the way for of a series of trailblazing architectural projects, each as defining as the next.

The house was initially conceived of as a weekend getaway for Chris and his family; a glass box in the trees mounted on poles that becomes part of the landscape rather than an addition to it.
Walls of glazing are met with a shadowy black form that recesses into the bush beyond. Crisp white interiors offer a sharp contrast.
The design has received global acclaim, and for good reason. This is home that is at once an object of art, and a glimpse into the bold masterstrokes of its designer, articulated clearly from day one in this much-loved glass box in the bush.
