Whether it’s for aesthetic or practical reasons, rugs are key to bringing interior spaces together. Offering visual and tactile texture, warmth and versatility, a rug has the ability to complete a room in both look and feel. Director Nicky Buchegger talks us through the latest additions to the impressive collection of rugs at Source Mondial.

Bamboo Silk Collection
‘Shivelight’, ‘Archipelago’
Hand-knotted bamboo silk has a similar look and feel to silk, yet is a more sustainable and accessible alternative. Fairly new to the market, we are using it extensively in our handmade rugs. Each exquisite piece warrants viewing in person, so that the quality, enduring beauty and lustre can be truly appreciated.

Moroccan Collection
‘Atlas’, ‘Kasbah’, ‘Taza’
These new Moroccan-inspired pieces are hand-knotted natural wool and bamboo silk. The bamboo-silk component gives these rugs a stunning lustre and softness to touch.

Variation Collection
‘Broken Sunset’, ‘Volcano’
These versatile pieces are hand-knotted and tufted with New Zealand wool. The background colour is produced from a single hand-dyed batch of wool and features a subtle variation of colour.

All rugs are available in different colours and sizes; POA.
